The iguana escaping the racer snakes

Watching this 2 minute video, it relates to someone who is really struggling with their mental health.

Looking at the clip, it shows the lizard trapped in a hole looking which way to turn. With no obvious escape from its current predicament, the lizard has to make a choice.

  1. To remain where he is, still and hope the problem goes away,

or;

  1. To make a break for it and blindly run to, who knows where, in the hope of safety.

The iguana initially sits and waits, but the snake gets too close and he makes a dash for it.

At this point, the lizards life is in the balance, with no obvious direction to run, with no escape from the troubles it faces, there is the need to just keep running.

When mental health problems strike, there is a time when there is no obvious end, there is no direction to go in. It is all about getting through that next 5 minutes, then onto the next 5 minutes.

In what seems like and endless cycle, there sometimes can feel little hope of reaching through the despair.

However, when all seems lost and the lizard is caught, he manages to wriggle out of the danger and sets off on his purpose again. This time he is making no mistakes.

Sometimes our darkest times give us our most learning. If we can just keep moving, then there are better times on the horizon.

The Iguana makes one final leap onto the rocks and to safety. This clip is to show you that no matter how bleak it looks right now, there are always better times to come.

Keep moving, keep fighting and you can win this struggle.
